Lifting

Neck Lift

목거상술

A clean line from jaw to neck — tightening the muscle band that softens the whole lower face.

Duration2–3 hours
AnesthesiaGeneral / sedation
Recovery2–3 weeks

Overview

A neck lift restores the sharp angle between the jaw and neck that blurs with age. Loose skin is re-draped and, crucially, the platysma muscle — which forms visible vertical bands — is tightened in the midline, often with removal of excess fat beneath the chin. The result is a defined jawline and a smooth, youthful neck that balances the face, commonly performed alongside a facelift when the two descend together.

Core values

Address the muscle
01

Address the muscle

Tightening the platysma corrects the bands that skin-only tightening leaves behind.

Define the angle
02

Define the angle

We restore the crisp jaw-to-neck line that most reads as youth.

Balance with the face
03

Balance with the face

Often paired with a facelift so the jaw and neck rejuvenate together.

Precautions

  1. 01Wear the supportive garment as directed to shape the neck.
  2. 02Sleep with the head elevated and avoid neck flexion early on.
  3. 03Avoid strenuous exercise and saunas for 3–4 weeks.
  4. 04Do not smoke — nicotine impairs skin and flap healing.
  5. 05Attend follow-ups for suture and swelling management.

A tired neck is often the first thing people notice and the last thing they mention. I give it back its quiet confidence.

The neck tells age before the face admits it. A clean line from jaw to neck can refresh the whole look without touching a single feature above it.

Frequently asked

The vertical bands come from the platysma muscle; tightening it in the midline is what truly smooths the neck, beyond skin re-draping alone.

Often — the jaw and neck typically descend together, so combining the two gives a balanced lower-face result.
